10:44 p.m. (22)

Time waits for no one.

Once that chime resonates,
all things come to an end.

Worn out hands and broken
bones,

Can’t keep holding on to
things that were meant
to disappear.

To just fade and disperse
into thin air.

As the candlelight flickers,
a mere person sits in the
darkness.

They’ve been waiting for
a sign.

When will the same old cycle
of eternal darkness end for
them?

They want to mend things
back to normal.

They want to fend for their
well being.

The candle light flickers again
yet this time, this mere person
does the same.

Instead of waiting for a sign,
they flicker back and disappear
without a trace.
