You go behind
peoples’ back,
spilling words
that cut deep in
the skin.

That’s not fair.

That’s not right.

And then you converse
with someone else just
for pure amusement.

You both are so
cruel.

One is clouded by
the past, having
grudges.

And the other is a
lover who sits
and do nothing.

You won’t even
budge to work
while the person
you talk bad about
works her butt off
to provide for you
and her at the same
time.

Now I understand why
family is so divided.

So broken.

Love isn’t even
evident.

Nothing heartwarming
is.

I won’t hate either
of you.

Instead, I will act
neutral.

Hiding my true
emotions.

You both will
reap what you sow.

Everyone does
eventually.

I definitely
won’t forget.

I will never
forget.

No one is perfect
but family is all
we have.

And yet we take it
for granted….
