With recollections from
the things past,
she dives headfirst into
that sea.
The echoes of long ago
embraces her present
time,
making her recall what
she has done and seen
in her days of life.
I’m her, that girl from
long ago, who didn’t
have a clue of what
she would be now.
I would like to digress,
Let me think as I write
these words in ink,
The one memory that I
hold close is of a time when
things were hollow, but this
hope abound.
I was caught in a delusional
snare, tied by rope, and
deemed to never be freed.
Yet now the tides have
changed, and I smile, for the
me of the past is just a
memory.
A memory that whispers,
“Never forget.”
And so I will never forget.
For my blood sings and
I can’t deny it.
I won’t ever forget.
