I shook my head, enjoying
my popsicle,
I still didn’t know if I
should tell him yet.
“Is there anything on your
mind?” I asked him, echoing
his earlier question.
Tetsuya glanced at me,
wearing a blank expression.
After a moment, he
looked upset.
Not angry,
Just sad.
“What’s wrong?”
“Well,”
Tetsuya scratched
the back of his head,
“I’m having a hard
time with my
emotions.”
I raised an eyebrow
before replying,
“Emotions are complicated.
One minute you feel happy, and
the next you’re sad.
What’s troubling
you?”
“Out of everything in my
life, the one thing
troubling me
is….”
Just then, Tetsuya’s phone
interrupted our important
conversation as it started
to ring.
