I almost gave into

Tetsuya apologizes
immediately, looking
ashamed.
“It’s okay….good thing
I snapped you out of
it. Adam was here
earlier.” I reply with
a sigh.
My heart is pounding.
It hurts.
“No one was supposed
to get in here…” Tetsuya
starts to sound confused
again.
Then, suddenly, we both
stare at each other in
realization.
With a simple glance,
I read Tetsuya’s mind.
Adam’s the embodiment
of lust, being one of the
spirits that keep this
dimension alive.
“Ronin knew he couldn’t enter
this room so he tried using
Adam to trigger us….”
Tetsuya explains,
sounding annoyed.
He ends up lying next
to me, tears in his
eyes.
The guilt of giving in so
easily shows on his face
as I look at him.
To comfort him, I
give him a sweet kiss.
It’s not driven by lust.
It’s filled with genuine
passion.
