Tsukino gets embarrassed
and rolls her eyes, “I’m not
a crybaby….”
“You are. You’re my cute
crybaby.” I whisper to
her so only she can
hear.
She continues blushing,
smiling suddenly.
“To stay on topic,” Tsukino
laughs sheepishly, “I really
do admire you, Tetsu.”
“What!? Really??” I ask
curiously, “Why do you
admire me?”
Tsukino responds immediately,
“You’re kind, God-fearing,
and easy-going. I enjoy
being with you.”
“I see. I’m glad you feel
that way. I admire you
too for your modesty
and cute behavior. Its
fun talking with you.”
The atmosphere around
us feels cathartic. I lean
towards Tsukino, who
looks flustered.
She ends up flicking my
forehead with her index
finger and thumb.
“Payback!” She giggles
madly, and I laugh along
despite the slight pain on
my forehead.
I deserved this payback.
